About Us
Our store was born from a deep desire to provide good quality meals for our own pets. After spending far too long reading the labels on typical dog food cans and bags, shocked by the ingredients and astonished by the prices for healthier options, we decided to make our own versions, reliable options to support our puppies and give them a better chance at a healthy and long life.
Fortunately, we didn't have to reinvent the wheel; other people had similar intentions and we found them aspirational, with stores open in the UK market, which gave us the courage to follow the same idea, but for our home market in Romania.
We researched every step to build a fresh pet food production facility in our own county of Cluj, consulted our veterinarian friends again to review and realign the ingredients according to our opinions and readings, and tested the menus before bringing them to a wider audience.
Research has overwhelmingly supported fresh, home-cooked food for dogs, as well as a mix of animal and vegetable proteins to support heart muscle. Compared to dry kibble, dogs can experience up to a 70% decrease in medical conditions when given the right, well-balanced meal with only good ingredients for their bodies. That doesn't mean walks can be shortened though 😊.
You won't find pompous packaging for our products, precisely because we intend to be as eco-friendly as the product allows, so we make maximum use of recyclable materials, with plans to even replace plastic bags in the future. We also want to keep prices focused on the content of the meal, not on appearance, in the hope of making them more accessible to a wider audience, so that more puppies have healthy meal options, less dependent on the owner's income. In case you're wondering, yes, we put our dog on the site, how could we not? 😊) we also named the company after him, this enrichment of our lives and constant source of joy and peace.
Our dear and very huggable sweetheart Popica was our first tester and has been with us as the first inspiration and biggest supporter of our products. Out of love for him and gentle care, the company was founded 😊.
